Marzia dreams of a career in politics and of a love marriage, but her dreams come up against a harsh reality. Marita Rainbird from Icebreaker Productions produced the development stage of Kirsi Mattila’s documentary from 2011 to 2013. The project was taken up by Pohjola-filmi in June 2013, when the documentary went into production. The premiere of the film was in spring 2015. The film was given the name Marzia, My Friend.
